The 2009 Line-up

Team ATV World Yamaha is proud to announce the riders and team sponsors for 2009. Team manager Martin Fletcher and the rest of the ATV World crew have worked hard to ensure a great range of sponsors are involved. With a big list of top name riders joining for 2009, there’s going to be plenty going on during this year’s racing season!

Riding fine in 2009 is two times British Champion and 2007 European Champion John Mitchell. Challenging on his ATV World Yamaha Laeger’s YFZ450, John is ready to take on this year’s contenders for the 2009 Championship.

Having just missed out on second place in the 2008 British Championships, Ricky Tordoff will be eager to start the season well. Joining team ATV World, the Yorkshireman will be riding in the British and European championships on his ATV World Yamaha Laeger’s YFZ450.

At the age of 22, newly signed ATV World Yamaha rider Leon Beda has already won the Scottish Championships three times and looks an ever impressive force in the British Championships.

ATV World Yamaha’s Irish contingency will be looking to improve on last year’s performances as previous youth Champion Dean Thompson and the former Ulster Champion Sean Goss will be racing in a number of championships. Having shown some promising results in 2008, Josh Barrett will be riding on his ATV World Yamaha Laeger’s YFZ450.

The adult line-up is completed with a new comer to the quad racing scene, Scotsman Donald Maciver. Don has just started riding his ATV World Yamaha YFZ450 and has taken to it like a duck to water. Having only competed in a few events, he has already won a staggering ten races and is certainly one to watch for the future.

Team ATV World Yamaha’s youth team is headed up by the current British Youth Champion Chris Morris. Chris has been training hard and enjoying racing on his ATV World Yamaha YFM250R. Tyler Soar made an excellent start to the 2009 season on his ATV World Yamaha Hybrid 250 with an impressive round one win in the Nora-MX ACU Southern Quad Championship.

Team ATV World will also be complimented in Europe by newly formed atvworld dk. Full details our ALL our team riders will be available soon on the ATV World website. Further details and photos of the new team quads will be unveiled at the first round of the British Quad Championships on the 5th April.
